Bethany LaFlam, Managing Partner
Bethany has more than 15 years of legal expertise in startup, M&A, securities and EB-5 compliance with regional centers, institutional lenders and investors. She has worked across aerospace, oil & gas, medical services and technology. She founded and operated a Newport Beach boutique business law firm LaFlam Sullivan and successfully integrated it into Much Shelist. Prior she litigated complex government claims and business disputes at Quinn, Emanuel, et al. She has significant experience fundraising, portfolio company sourcing and diligence and with cross-border investment strategy and structure. Bethany has been an advisor and has held leadership roles with multiple nonprofits including being Founding Board Member for Team Kids. She has her JD from Pepperdine University School of Law and is the loving mother of a 9 year old daughter.

She was a winner of Ernst & Young 2013 class of Entrepreneurial Winning Women. She has been awarded the 2012 Marilyn Johnson Women of Color Achievement Award. Phyllis currently serves on the Board of Directors for Girls Inc., and Enterprising Women Magazine Board of Advisors.
